Soil Recycling

At Soilworx, we believe strongly in the idea that there’s only one planet and work hard to reduce waste, conserve natural resources, promote eco-friendly practices and provide sustainable solutions with various construction, landscaping and environmental applications.

Working closely with our customers, we accept Clean Fill from Residential and Commercial developments as well as parks and gardens, ameliorate it (improve its quality) in our facilities then rescreen and blend it for reuse. In doing so, we divert over 200,000 m³ of soil a year from landfill.

We accept Clean Fill material* (from ten tonnes to thousands of tonnes) in our facilities in Pakenham and Ardeer and help source other disposal sites for materials such as inert waste, contaminated soils and other various waste materials.

* Please note: Clean Fill certificates must be provided prior to us receiving it.

Here are just some examples of recycled products we provide:

  • Recycled Fill Materials: Soil that’s been excavated from construction sites can be screened and processed to remove contaminants, then reused as fill material for grading, levelling and building up surfaces.
  • Recycled Aggregates: Crushed and processed recycled concrete, asphalt and other construction materials can be used as aggregates in new construction projects, reducing the need for virgin resources and minimising waste.
  • Recycled Topsoil: Topsoil that’s removed during construction can be reclaimed and processed, removing debris and contaminants to create a high-quality recycled soil suitable for landscaping and gardening.
  • Soil Blends and Mixes: Recycled soil blends that combine different types of soil, compost and organic materials can be formulated for specific uses such as gardening, erosion control and soil amendment.
  • Compost: Organic materials like food waste and garden trimmings can be composted to create nutrient-rich soil amendments that improve soil structure, water retention and plant growth.
  • Soil Stabilisation Solutions: Recycled additives and binders can be used to stabilise soil for road construction, foundation support and other applications, reducing the need for traditional construction materials.
  • Recycled Soil Amendments: Organic waste and byproducts can be composted and processed into nutrient-rich soil amendments that enhance soil quality. These recycled products offer cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternatives for a wide range of construction, landscaping and agricultural needs.
Soil Disposal

Because sites have such variable conditions, it’s essential to have access to the appropriate disposal services that are environmentally and financially sustainable. That’s why SubTrux offers a range of disposal services to help businesses meet their project deadlines and, most importantly, provide the right home for the disposal of clean fill or contaminated materials.

Whether you’re dealing with Clean Fill or EPA contaminated materials, all disposals are conducted in accordance with state regulations and compliance alongside federal guidelines. In addition, you can track disposal of materials coming off site with an easy to use platform that gives you full control of material disposal and direct access to fully qualified and compliant drivers and vehicles.

With 40+ years in the transport and groundworks industry, we ensure that first rate safety, competitive rates and exceptional service go hand in hand, so you can get rid of your worries right alongside that material.

On-site Soil amelioration

Sadly, the most common way to dispose of site soil is to chuck it into landfill and then bring in soil that meets the specifications of your project. This creates unnecessary expense, carbon emissions and creates extra downtime for your assets.

As an alternative, Soilworx now provides an on-site soil amelioration service that enables you to reclaim and ameliorate soil and create a blend to suit your specifications – right at the heart of your site. This has a number of benefits including reducing carbon emissions by not having to import and export soil, meeting your client’s specific requirements (and your job deadlines), maximising your on-site asset utilisation and minimising operational disruption.

Better for your pocket. Better for your project. Better for the planet.

Solar & Wind Farms

These dynamic and rapidly growing sectors revolve around the generation, utilisation and deployment of a new, clean and renewable source of power.

Each sector has its own specific needs, whether it’s ensuring low-maintenance ground cover or gravel to minimise maintenance needs around solar panels or delivering the solid and stable foundations needed to support the massive weight of giant turbines. In addition, we work closely with a range of partners to provide effective landscaping solutions for surrounding areas, which can include access roads, erosion control and habitat restoration.
